This afternoon, we enjoyed High Tea at The Painted Tea Cup, a beautiful Victorian home that was built in the early 1900′s. High Tea included a wide selection of imported teas as well as a variety of tea sandwiches and seasonal desserts. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to go back!

Rose Tree Place residents were in Media’s Annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 28th. We enjoyed seeing all of the children in costumes on State Street. Residents gave out lots of candy to all of the children. And, some children showed off their Halloween costumes on our bus and gave candy to the residents.

Rose Tree Place took a day trip to Waterford Horse Farm in Lebanon, PA. On the farm, we learned all the operational details that go into running a modern day horse farm. We were also shown various techniques for riding an American Saddlebred horse. The horses enjoyed us feeding them lots of carrots and peppermints!
Yesterday, we enjoyed spending our afternoon at the Elmwood Zoo. We had an animal adventure, learning about the different animals at the zoo. We were able to touch several of the animals, and the highlight of the trip was feeding the giraffes.

Today, thousands paid tribute to all service men and women at the annual Delaware County Veterans Day Parade in Media. Rose Tree Place Veterans were in the parade. Most of our Veterans were escorted in antique cars and other residents enjoyed the parade riding our bus!

Today, we discovered the outstanding collection of American art housed in a nineteenth-century mill overlooking the banks of the Brandywine River. Renowned for its holding of the Wyeth family of artists, the museum features galleries dedicated to the work of Andrew and Jamie Wyeth.
Yesterday, we chuckled all afternoon at the Rainbow Comedy Theatre. The show was "Perfect Wedding" which turned out not to be so perfect! The groom never made it to the altar and the blushing bride had a nightmare, not a dream wedding! We can't wait for the next show!
During the longest heat wave in the Philadelphia, our residents took a trip to the local ice cream store! It was a great way to cool off and beat the summer heat!
